CES 2026 Trends: AI Wearables, Trifold Phones & Smart Tech

CES 2026 set to open in early January, once again positioning itself as the global stage for major consumer technology trends. As the world’s largest tech conference, the event is expecting to highlight how artificial intelligence is increasingly embedded into everyday hardware, alongside continued experimentation in mobile devices, robotics, and home entertainment. With the show less than a month away, early signals suggest five themes will dominate headlines and product launches.

A major focus will be AI-powered hardware, particularly wearables. Building on last year’s momentum, startups and established players alike are expecting to showcase smart rings, glasses, pins, and wristbands that pair advanced sensors with conversational AI. These devices aim to move AI from apps into constant, physical companions, offering real-time insights and hands-free interaction.

Smartphones are also evolving beyond traditional slab designs. After foldables gained traction in 2025, CES 2026 could spotlight trifold smartphones, including wider global debuts from brands such as Samsung and competitors. These devices promise tablet-sized displays that fold into pocketable form factors, signaling a new phase in mobile hardware design.

Robotics will remain a staple, especially in smart homes. Furthermore, expect incremental but practical improvements in robot vacuums and a continued push toward more capable service robots, powered by better AI perception and autonomy.

On the infrastructure side, AI chipmakers are likely to make news. Moreover, Nvidia and AMD are both expecting to highlight advances in processors that support AI workloads, robotics, and next-generation PCs.

Finally, CES wouldn’t be complete without TV innovation. Ultra-large screens, new display technologies, and upgraded sound systems are expected to dominate show floors. Key trends to watch at CES 2026 are:

  • AI-enabled wearables moving AI into the physical world
  • Trifold and ultra-thin smartphones redefining mobile design
  • Smarter, more practical home and service robots
  • New AI-focused chips from leading silicon vendors
  • Bigger, more immersive TVs and next-gen display accessories

Together, these themes suggest CES 2026 will focus less on novelty alone and more on how AI-driven hardware fits into everyday life.
